William
is one of the many mysteries in ‘Quiet Night In’.
Is
he the quintessential starry-eyed, idealistic youth? Is he
genuinely in love with Lawrence? Or is it just the celebrity
that turns him on?
His youth allows him to go ignored for much of the evening, allowing him to soak up everyone’s personalities like a sponge and find their weak points.
Jess
and her self-centred menagerie are so busy thinking about themselves
that they hardly notice that William is playing a game all his
own…and everyone will end up right where he wants them.
As for Jess, she recognises her competition as soon as he walks in the door. She resents him bitterly and utterly, but if she wants to remain in control of the evening then she won’t be able to ignore his demands…
